CARE MINISTRIES

Caring, that’s really what it’s all about. If you are going through a tough time right now we would like to offer our help. Or perhaps you’ve gone through some difficulties yourself and would like to help others through a similar situation.

Cancer Companions

This is a team of trained volunteers who provide group support to those impacted by cancer (cancer patients, cancer survivors, family members, caregivers) in our community. For more information about Cancer Companions @SPL, click HERE.

Hospital Visitation

This is a team of volunteers who have been trained in caring for our hospitalized friends and members through visits and prayers

Intercessory Prayer Team

Led by volunteers, this group of prayer warriors is willing to lift up concerns in prayer whenever called upon. Team captains make contact with their groups and activate the prayer chain as needed.

Deacon Ministry

This group of dedicated men minister to those who are home bound by taking the Lord’s Supper to them on a monthly basis. Establishing a personal rapport through these visits assists in letting our home bound know they are still a very important part of our family.

Ministry to the Mature

A fun group of retired men and women who come together for fellowship and Bible study, led by one of our pastors, the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 10:30am. A time of social gathering begins at 10am.

Good Morning Group

A brief telephone call each morning that checks in with those who live alone, and wish to be called, gives a person the assurance of our concern for their health and safety.
