God has been doing some pretty amazing things in SPL Family Ministry. There is a lot to be thankful for, and plenty to pray for! We were especially blessed this summer by an incredible week of Make Waves VBS and being able to connect with families through Popsicles in the Park. We’re looking forward to the return of Sunday Education Time with SPL Kids and SPL Youth on August 21st.

We do want to let you know of something specific you can be praying for!

On September 1st, Kristin Harman, will be stepping back from her full-time position as our Director of Children’s Ministry and into a more part-time role in Children’s Ministry. We are so thankful for all she has already done with SPL Kids, and we look forward to seeing what God has in store for her in this new position and as she pursues her calling of being Mom to her daughter Malia.

As we look forward, here is what we know:

Kristin will continue on in a part-time capacity in Children’s Ministry. She will still be on staff here at SPL.

Kristin will continue to be an active part in our Church body, and a part of our family of faith here at SPL.
Our Children’s Ministry will continue to play a vital role in our ministry to families. Because of this, we will begin seeking a Full-Time Director of Children’s Ministry. And during this time, Kristin will continue to help bridge the transition to the next Director.

As a Church, we will continue to offer high energy, high impact children’s ministry that has built up and grown in the past few years.

As we continue to do that, we as a church body will need to step up: If you love kids and if you love Jesus, and if you love telling kids that they are loved by Jesus, we need you to play a roll in continuing this ministry.

Please make sure to talk with Kristin and the SPL Kids team about where you might be able to plug in and serve. They have a variety of places to get plugged in during F3 Wednesday Nights, Sunday Morning Education Time, or SPL Littles!

We pray that God would continue to provide for this Family of Faith and for the Harman Family too! Please take some time in the next few weeks to share some love and encouragement with Kristin and Zach.
