Looking for a way for your daily life and routines to have greater impact? This August, you can make a difference just by shopping at one of your local stores.

Rural King is proudly hosting Church Week August 2nd -15th, 2020. This is a relaunch of a past program by the retailer where customers will be able to support their local Christian organizations by shopping with Rural King. They will be donating 10% of each valid receipt total to the registered organization chosen by the customer.

We’d like to encourage you to shop and submit your receipts, choosing “St. Pauls Lutheran” in Decatur, IL as the recipient of the 10% from your purchase. ALL FUNDS COLLECTED THROUGH THIS RURAL KING “CHURCH WEEK” PROGRAM WILL BE CONTRIBUTED TO THE FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN DECATUR COMMUNITY MOBILEPACK FUND.

Though we are not able to physically pack meals together this year, the FMSC Decatur Community MobilePack is still committed to raising the funds for the meals that would have been packed (and more if able). FMSC is still working hard to address food insecurity amidst COVID-19 and meet the desperate need for meals worldwide. Your support will help them continue to provide meals in places of most need at a time where health and wellness is most important.

Our local Rural King (Macon County, IL #37) is located at 1920 S Mount Zion Rd., Decatur (62521). They can be contacted at 217-864-5700 and are open 7:00AM – 9:00PM daily for your shopping needs.

How does the Church Week program work?

For a 2 week period (first full ad in August), customers that shop at Rural King will be able to enter their receipt information on ruralking.com and choose an approved organization that will then be the recipient of 10% of the total on that receipt. Each receipt may only qualify for Program approval one time under the Program, and approved receipts may not be re-submitted.

Thirty (30) days after the end of the campaign (to account for returns) the final amount to each organization will be determined and checks will be sent to the ‘home store’ (Macon County IL #37). The store will then distribute the check for the final amount to the organization selected.

What is Church Week?

Church week is an opportunity for Rural King customers to support their local Christian churches, schools, and radio stations. From August 2nd- 15th 2020, customers can upload their Rural King receipts to ruralking.com/churchweek and 10% of their receipt total after sales tax will go to the registered Christian organization of their choosing (in this case please choose “St Pauls Lutheran” as they have it listed under Decatur, IL in the drop down menu on the receipt entry portal).

Why is Rural King hosting Church Week?

Organizations such as non-profit Christian Churches, schools, and radio stations were faced with an abundance of challenges when forced to close their doors due to COVID-19. At Rural King we feel these types of organizations not only align with our culture and beliefs but also greatly bless and are vital to the communities we serve. Hosting Church Week allows an easy way for our community members to bless and support these organizations in their time of need.

How long do I have to upload a receipt?

You will have until September 1, 2020 to upload your receipt to ruralking.com/churchweek. To qualify, receipts must be dated 8/2/2020-8/15/2020. If you need assistance entering your receipts, you may also bring them to the SPL Church Office before August 30th and we can assist you in entering the receipt. When will the organizations receive their donations?

Each organization will receive communication from their Rural King location when their donation check is ready for pickup, on or after 9/15/20.

Can I split my receipt between two organizations?

You can only donate to one organization per receipt. If you visit Rural King multiple times within the promotion period (8/2/20-8/15/20), you can choose to upload each valid receipt to a different registered organization of your choice.

I lost my receipt; can I donate without it?

You will need a copy of your receipt and its specific, identifying information to upload for donation. The Rural King you purchased at can provide you a new copy of your receipt if lost.
