Merry Christmas!

Celebrate and rejoice this day and every day for Christ coming and being in your life. Come and adore Him, not only in the manger or on the cross, but also in God’s Word that you can hold in your hands, gaze upon with your eyes, and grow in your heart. Praise and worship Him, not only where you sit or stand at this moment, but together with others in worship.

Today, with these words inspired by O Come All Ye Faithful, lift up a prayer to Him this day and remember why you celebrate:

O come, faithful, joyful and triumphant,
Come, O come to be with me, with all of us here;
Come, that I may behold You,
born the King of angels, my King;

Come, and fill my life and my spirit;
Come, and remind me to adore You,
O come, and help me to realize all that You have already done for me, Christ the Lord!

God of God, Light of Light; so incredible that You came down to be here with all of us through a virgin’s womb; You are very God, born to us, Son of God and Son of Man. Thank you for coming to shine Your Light into the dark places of my life.

Sing, I sing to you with Your choirs of angels,
I sing in exultation, along with Your people here on earth and in heaven,
With all of my soul I want to sing praise and give thanks and glory to You, God, all glory in the highest.

Lord, on this happy morning, as I am reminded of Your birth, Your coming here as Emmanuel, God with us, and Your birth in my own life:
Jesus, to You be all glory given;
Word of the Father, made flesh, to be among us; I thank you for coming into my life, for bearing my sin, for Your forgiveness and love, for Your victory over death and the promise of eternity You give to me. Help me to remember that You are the most important in this day and every day, and that I should rejoice in You!

Come, and fill my life and my spirit;
Come, and remind me to adore You,
O come, and help me to realize all that You have already done for me, Christ the Lord!
