As we learned from Pastor Eric this past weekend, we need to replace our old ideas with God’s new ideas by learning His Word.
We need to replace our own will with His Will.
We can learn to think about our situations through His Word and remember to pray His promises.
Pastor Eric taught us how to remember and pray one of God’s promises from Psalm 50:15 in his sermon about Emotional Health. Do you remember the new “song and dance” we learned?
Call upon me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you.
Call upon me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you.
And you will glorify me when I deliver you.
And you will glorify me as I teach you what to do.
So, it is time to sing a new song unto the Lord. It’s time to sing a new song in your life, as you face challenges and learn to manage your thoughts and emotions.
We pray:
Lord, help me get Your Will IN and my will OUT. I ask You, what lies am I believing and what would you like to give me instead? Help me to continue to surrender my whole self to you, to be listening for Your voice and Your speaking into my life. Guide me and remind me that I need to do whatever I need to do to remind myself that it is YOU that I live for. Continue to show me where to go as I follow You. In the name of your Son Jesus, Amen.
