Bible and forestThis past weekend, we were able to get our first lesson in Spiritual Health in worship from Pastor Eric. Our TRANSFORMED daily devotions (from the All-In-One Workbook) began on Sunday. Our Small Groups began meeting and engaged in the first teaching session on Spiritual Health.

So, how are you doing so far? Are you feeling encouraged, or confused? Are you excited to make a change, or are you fearful of drawing closer to God and what that might mean for your life? Certainly when we are faced with ‘something big’ in our lives, we can experience a wide range of emotion.

In these moments, remember: our thoughts determine our feelings which determine our actions. What you are thinking right now will influence how you begin to feel and that will pour out in your actions.

Pastor Eric also left us with four key thoughts about ultimately beginning this process of change in our Spiritual Health in that worship conversation:

    • Get Fed Up with Your Life.
    • Own Up to Your Sin. (Refer to Psalm 51:1-4)
    • Offer Up Yourself.
    • Lift Up Your Praise.

In other words, if you are in a place where you are ready for a change, let’s start today with a moment of confession like David did in Psalm 51. Then, give it all to God and take time in prayer to Pray His Promises. Then, let’s lift up our praise together!

For today, we can praise and worship with “The Joy of the Lord” by Rend Collective:
