SPL KIDS TEAM SPOTLIGHT

SPL Kids Team Members: Joshua and Lindsay Hammer

Joshua and Lindsay have been members of SPL for 8 years and are proud parents to Lydia, 5, and Levi, 3. They have been serving with the SPL Kids ministry for around 4 years, with Joshua currently serving as a Storyteller for preschool to kindergarten, while Lindsay serves as a Door Person and working the Check-In
station. Both of them enjoy being of service to our church family and watching the Holy Spirit move in its children. They feel the Godly Play program creates a sense of wonder that is awesome to watch.

F3 Winter Session | Thru February 19 (6:30pm Wednesdays)

Come enjoy this time of family, faith, formation on Wednesday nights. Dinner begins at 5:30pm and classes for all ages are offered from 6:30-7:30pm.

SPL Kids Family Fun Night | February 7 (6:00-8:00pm)

We’re expanding our father daughter dance this year to include all family members. Enjoy a night filled with music, dancing, and board games! Appetizers and desserts will be provided. Tickets available for purchase ($5/family) both online and at SPL.

GODLY PLAY PARENT TIP

When you pick up your children, you may want to know what they have learned, but they will not always be able to tell you. Much of the significant communication in the room is nonverbal, and the history of Christian tradition is full of teachings about how the mystery of God’s presence is difficult to express. They are invited to wonder together what the lesson means and how it is important for their lives. The emphasis is on learning how this language helps them make meaning for their lives.
