SPL Kids Team Members: Harold and Kim Newingham

Harold and Kim Newingham were both born in Decatur. Harold is a Navy Vet and former police officer now working for Air King. Kim graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and she currently serves as the Director of St. Paul’s Early Learning Center. They have 3 children, Noah, Sarah, and Rebekah, who attend our LSA. They have been part of SPL for over 25 years and currently serve SPL Kids as a Godly Play teaching team. They love their LSA and SPL families and look forward to seeing what the future holds.

THE HUNT | APRIL 4TH (10:00 AM-12:00 PM)

This event features multiple activities for toddlers through 12 year olds, inflatables, and more, followed by the Annual Egg Hunt (by age group, beginning after 11:30 a.m.). Event is rain or shine – activities will be indoors. Egg Hunt will be outside or inside, dependent on weather.

VBS 2020: ROCKY RAILWAY | JUNE 8-12 (9:00 AM -12:00 PM)

Save the date for VBS 2020! Registration opens soon for participants (ages 3yrs – 4th grade) and servant leaders (5th grade – adults).

FAMILY STORYTELLING

Storytelling is one of the central components of Godly Play, but storytelling doesn’t have to end here. Elaine Reese comments, “Books contain narratives, but only family stories contain your family’s personal narratives.” You can reminisce about the day’s events together or maybe share a story from your childhood at bedtime.
