SPL KIDS TEAM SPOTLIGHT

SPL Kids Team Member: Brittany Atwood

Brittany is married to Mike and they have 3 boys; Will (9), Josh (6) and Drew (3). She has the privilege of staying home with her boys and loves all things fashion, pink, and sparkly to counteract all of that testosterone! She has been serving with SPL Kids on a regular basis since 2014 as a Sunday school teacher, VBS Director and Godly Play Storyteller, and she enjoys seeing kids worship God unabashedly and develop their own unique relationship with Him.

SPL Kids Team Member: Ariana Shelton

Ariana has been serving as a Storyteller and Door Person for the 1st through 4th grade Godly Play classes for almost a year. She is a graduate of the Lutheran School Association (LSA) and received both her Bachelor’s in Marketing and MBA from Millikin University. She is currently the Visitor Center Manager at Caterpillar and Dance Instructor and Marketing Director at The Dance Centre. She and her
son, Dawson, love being a part of the Godly Play program!

Children’s Christmas Worship | December 15 (10:30am Worship)

All children 3yrs-6th grade are invited to participate. Click HERE to sign-up for speaking roles and other opportunities. Rehearsals are December 14 at 3:00pm and December 15 at 9:15am in the Sanctuary.

With thanksgiving just around the corner, consider expressing gratitude together as a family. A great opportunity to do this with busy kids is at bedtime or mealtimes. To get the conversation started, try asking: “Where was God present in your day?” or “What was most
important about your day?”
Remember that children are already having experiences of God but sometimes don’t have the language to describe them.
